Tips and Hints
How can you make your standard solid card customized. There are several alternatives:
Printing:
Either have your cards custom printed (far too expensive!) or if your printer can handle
card stock, you can customize the cards yourself by printing your logo and/or
message directly on the card.
"Clear" Labels:
The chances that your printer will handle cardstock is small, so the next best thing is to
investigate labels. Transparent labels are available, but they have the disadvantage that even though they
are transparent, they still may be apparent on the blister card. Also, you will need to get a high quality
label to get a truly transparent one. Most "clear" or "transparent" labels are designed for evelopes
and look great on a white, buff surface, but will definitely show on a blister card.
Solid, Shaped Labels:
Solid colored labels have the advantage that you WANT people to see them.
Many useful shapes are commercially available to fit the custom needs of your product.
You can customize you card further by
die cutting the labels in special shapes or custom cutting the labels at a craft store.
Labels are designed to be printed on by computer, just be careful to
FOLLOW the MANUFACTURER's instructions and be SURE to get the correct label for your printer
-- ink jet, laser, whatever.
